Launched in 2021, FARA Projects is a collaborative platform that empowers indigenous women across Iran by revitalizing traditional crafts through contemporary dialogue. It brings together local women deeply rooted in their regional craft practices and offers workshops, training, and creative processes that value heritage while embracing transformation.

Through close collaboration, ancestral techniques—particularly in weaving and handmade textiles—are reimagined into modern forms. These skills become the foundation for new fashion pieces, transforming traditional crafts into wearable expressions of identity, resilience, and cultural memory.

FARA Projects aims to form active, self-sustaining groups of women in underserved communities by fostering education, confidence, and collective agency. The resulting designs are not only a celebration of women’s artistry but also act as portals — modern garments that carry stories across borders and cultures.

Beyond economic empowerment, this initiative serves as a bridge between local traditions and global audiences, offering new ways to see, wear, and honor the living heritage of rural women. FARA Projects turns everyday materials into meaningful visual narratives — and clothing into a new language for cultural storytelling.
